Fantastic Spicy Simple Jalapeno Margarita

Hello Cocktail Clan.  If you love spicy cocktails this simple Jalapeño margarita is for you.  This one is at the Agave and Rye restaurant in Covington, KY.  Comes in a large old-fashioned glass and not your typical margarita glass.

This margarita uses Jalapeño infused Tequila with Pineapple juice along with fresh lime juice.  The pineapple really comes through and cuts the spiciness of the jalapenos.  I didn’t really ask for the recipe and will be trying to duplicate this cocktail.

Jalapeño Pineapple Rita

  • 2 oz Jalapeño Infused Tequila
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • Simple Syrup
  • Pineapple for Garnish
  • Jalapeño for Garnish

Now on the menu they state secrets in the ingredients.  I do not know what that would be as I really tasted the pineapple and Jalapeño within the cocktail.  With that I may not be able to create exactly but I am going to give it a try.

With the cocktail I decided to order a little snack.  This was a taco and specifically a taco called The Bomb.  Ordered the small and not the gigantic and this thing was huge.

The BOMB TACO

  • Carne Asada Steak
  • Chopped Bourbon-Poached Shrimp
  • Mac-n-Cheese
  • A&R Spicy Chili BBG Jam
  • Tobacco Onion Strings

This was a flavor bomb in your mouth.  At first, I was wondering how the mac-n-cheese would play but, it replaced shredded cheese and gave a nice creamy taste and mouthfeel that was amazing.  The whole bite with the double crunch taco shells was amazing.  Now the size of this taco was huge, so it was more of a meal than a snack.

The cocktail went really well with the taco and will be back next time down in Covington, Ky for a full meal.
