Introduction
Hello Cocktail Clan. Today we are going to discuss cocktails from Knowlton House Distillery. This is a small distillery focusing on Gin and Vodka and they are also brewing local beers that they have on tap. The bourbon here is called Eviction Notice Bourbon but, that is sourced from Kentucky. Starting to distill three different whiskies but, those need time to sit in the barre. They create their products from whey (mile sugar) that they source pretty much next door to the distillery.
Entrance and Menu
As you walk in on your right you will see the distillery and as you head down the corridor you will see the gift shop. On your right you will see a “L” shaped bar seating about 20 with tables around the outside of the bar for patrons to have food. There is a tasting room off the main dining area by the bar. This room is private and can be used for small private parties. While we were there, they were set up for a cocktail class that was full, and we didn’t get to attend.
The cocktail menu has shaken, carbonated, stirred, milk punch, house-crafted beer & seltzers, and spirit free. Reviewing they are making all cocktails from scratch and the Bloody Mary is only available until 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Cocktails at Knowlton House

I chose a cocktail called “Hallelujah! Holy Sh**! Where’s the Tylenol?” Yes, that is the name of the cocktail. It is their take on a classic old fashioned. This was from the Stirred Section of the menu.
- Eviction Notice Bourbon
- Sweet Vermouth
- Pecan Syrup
- House Bitters
- Garnish with a star anise
Taking a sip of this cocktail, you notice the pecan syrup instantly and then you get the flavor of the bourbon and sweet vermouth. This is a wonderful cocktail that you can sip and enjoy multiple of. Not to sweet even with the sweet vermouth and pecan syrup.
The second cocktail that was ordered was from the Carbonated section of the menu. The name is “Jelly of the Month Club”. Name comes from the house-made berry jam that is made monthly.
- TenHead Vodka
- House-Made Berry Jam
- Lemon Soda

Didn’t catch the jam of the month but, the drink was peach in color and served with a sugared rim and a candy cane. Really sweet on the mouth and the sour of the jam and cocktail didn’t mellow this out. Not a fan favorite and won’t order another one.
The final cocktail of the group was the cocktail called “The Grind”. Their take on the espresso Martini.
- TenHead Vodka
- House-Made coffee Liqueur
- Espresso
- Chocolate bitters
- Parmesan Cheese

This was a very tasty cocktail and the house-made coffee liqueur made this a very flavorful cocktail. On the night they put way to much cheese into the cocktail but, that didn’t take away the fact it was a great cocktail.
Knowlton House Appetizer
The other item we had while at the bar was the cheese curd appetizer. Had to have this since they make them and use the whey for the Vodka. They were very tasty and came with a jam and garlic dill ranch sauce. Was not a fan of the jam sauce but, the garlic dill was very good. A great appetizer while having a few cocktails.

Conclusion
Overall this was a great distillery to visit and enjoy a cocktail and appetizer at the Knowlton House. There is a nice sitting area outside with cornhole and some other items. Was not able to get out as the weather wasn’t the greatest. Bartending staff was very enjoyable and knowledgeable on the cocktails. Very prompt when you sat down at the bar. This was a great experience and am looking forward to visiting again.
PS on the way out stopped at the gift shop and they have all sorts of syrups and bitters available for purchase if you are into making your cocktails at home.
